Hello I’m Lou!

Cheshire born and bred, I spent the majority of my childhood riding horses and I was forever down at the stables - even on Christmas Day! I bought my first SLR camera around 1996 - a Canon EOS 1000 and my passion for photography was born. I spent hours and hours photographing anything that moved and everything that didn’t!

TV Days.

At 18, I began working in the camera dept in Film & TV, which involved me moving down to London - An incredibly fun-filled and fast-paced time in my life, working as a Freelance Camera Assistant and rubbing shoulders with the stars on far too many shows to name but including Pop Idol, X Factor, Big Brother, Saturday Night Takeaway & Loose Women.

It was amazing… far from glamorous and bloody hard work!

In 2004 I met Grant (a cameraman) while working on a live morning BBC TV show called “City Hospital”. We bought a house in Hertfordshire, he proposed in Paris (very romantic!) and we got married outside in 2007 on the wettest day of the year!

We moved back up north to Cheshire and in 2011 we welcomed Jacob into our family. We now live in a gorgeous little village with our nutty Springer Spaniel - Ace!

Grant’s still a cameraman, globetrotting and working on various sporting events around the world. I re-discovered my love of photography when Jacob was little and I shot my very first wedding in 2015 and haven’t ever looked back.

Loves.

I love Musical Theatre! Les Mis is my absolute favourite, but also Back to the Future, Dear Evan Hansen and Six are up there too! I love music - anything by Westlife, The Script, Bon Jovi, Muse or Foo Fighters! I’m currently listening to Pink after seeing her live at Anfield in June!

TV wise I don’t really watch it, but I do love Netflix and I adore Breaking Bad! I’ve also watched approximately 98127 episodes of Greys Anatomy!

I love reading when I have time and I’m currently halfway through ‘The Hearts Invisible Furies’ by John Boyne (which is amazing!)
